J'ai dl la FC 6 dans la journée hier
Je l'ai installé juste après et ai commencé l'upgrade hier soir !
- yum update : plus de 2H (environ 600 packages)
- yum update yum : 5 minutes ^^
- yum clean all : idem
- yum upgrade : 2H environ
- yum update : lancé il y a 5 minutes ... En attente de fin !

Donc voila, procédure pas trop compliqué, tout tourne bien !
Mais, quand je lance Fedora, dans grub, il y a toujours marqué "Fedora Core <noyau>". Il ne devrait pas y avoir marqué "Fedora" ?
De plus dès qu'il se lance il marque qu"il lance Fedora release 7 Moonshine ! Pourquoi la release ?
Idem, je n'ai pas les derniers fonds d'écran, écran de boot etc etc ...
Comme si j'étais toujours sur la 6 !

Est ce normal ?

Je repose cette question car après diverses discussions, certains pensent que oui, d'autres que non !
Pour info lors du boot avec grub, j'ai bien marqué FC6 et de plus après lors du boot j'ai F7 release qui apparaît ...

L'expérience montre que passer de FC6 (fedora core 6) à F7 (core a disparu) pose des problèmes dans la plupart des cas (il n'a qu'à lire les plaintes sur le forum) et c'est vrai en général, il est sans doute préférable de désinstaller une version et d'installer la version supérieure que de upgrader. Dans ton installation, si FC6 tourne normalement, tu peux tenter d'installer F7 qui s'installera dans la structure de FC6. Tu peux également installer CentOS 5, que j'apprécie beaucoup, qui est la version gratuite de RedHat 5. Tu n'auras pas les dernières versions de Oo ni de thunderbird, mais elles sont solides, et cet OS est très stable. Centos est un compromis entre FC6 et F7.
