Bonjour,
Je viens d'installer Fedora 12 avec succès, cependant je rencontre un problème avec les ventilateurs qui ne se mettent pas en marche. Le PC chauffe et s'éteint tout à coup au bout de quelques minutes d'utilisation.

il est récent ton matoss ? J'ai croisé pas mal d' Acer ( en laptop en tout cas ) qui avait cce soucis passé un certain temps... Faudrait aussi voir si avec un autre OS ( en live par exemple ) si les ventilo fonctionnent... Histoire de bien localiser le PB : pb hardware ou software...

J'ai mon Acer depuis presque deux ans, j'ai eu pas mal de soucis au départ (ca devait etre sous Fedora 8 ou 9) avec la carte Wifi, mais plus aucun probleme depuis.

J'ai installé Fedora 12 hier, avant je tournais sous Fedora 11 et tout fonctionnait nickel... Je vais essayer de remettre la main sur un live CD F11 ou éventuellement un Ubuntu
Autre soucis que j'ai vu avec les laptop en général: l'accumulation de poussiere qui fait bouchon sur la sortie d'extraction de l'air chaud... Ca c'est dans le cas d'un PB hardware... mais ca fait pas de mal de jeter un oeil de temps en temps et de virer le coussin qu'il s y forme...

Par ailleurs, j'ai fait tourné le pc en live CD sur Ubuntu 8.04 (seul live cd que j'avais sous la main), et les ventilos se mettaient bien en marche.

après un reboot sur windows qui me dis qu'il n'existe plus (partition foirée), je reviens sur fedora et tout fonctionne! alors je ne sais pas pourquoi mais, c'est chouette

Je pense que justement le fait que le CPU diffère peut changer la donne...
Du coup, le fait que tout fonctionne sous F11 ou sur Ubuntu, combiné avec le fait que Toreador rencontre le même problème semble indiquer qu'il s'agit bien d'un problème de F12...

Une petite idée ? Un rapport de bug ?

mkisofs -o bootable-CD-bios.iso -b FDOEM.144 FDOEM.144
cdrecord dev=acces_a_mon_cd bootable-CD-bios.iso
ATTENTION : vous ne pourrez pas sauvegarder un backup de votre ancien bios
mais j'aimerais avoir confirmation de votre part que cette méthode est fiable !

Oui, ça devrait marcher.

Autre méthode :
Télécharger FreeDOS, graver l'image ISO sur un CD.
Démarrer le PC avec le CD de FreeDOS gravé, lancer BIOS_v1.45.exe préalablement copié dans l'image ISO.
Attention : tu réalises cette opération à tes risques et périls; tu es seul responsable des dommages éventuellement causés à ton PC, etc. etc. etc.

J'ai flashé mon BIOS (après avoir réinstallé Windows Vista car je n'ai réussi aucune des méthodes susmentionnées), et maintenant les ventilos fonctionnent à merveille !
