Je viens de penser que plutôt de remplacer tu devrai ajouter une entrée dans le grub de kubuntu:
Tu ajoutes:
# This entry automatically added by the Debian installer for an existing
# linux installation on /dev/sda3.
title Fedora (2.6.25.4-30.fc9.x86_64) (on /dev/sda3)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.25.4-30.fc9.x86_64 ro root=UUID=4c8fe887-e2ea-4ea5-8a75-0eea7c393845 rhgb quiet
initrd /initrd-2.6.25.4-30.fc9.x86_64.img
savedefault
boot
après l'entrée existante de fedora comme ça tu pourras toujours booter sur l'ancien kernel si tu as un problème
