Depuis que j'ai installé F8, je n'ai plus accès a l'internet. Côté matériel, je sais que le problème ne réside pas a cet endroit car je cous écris depuis mon dual xp.

Lorsque je boote en f8, la lumière de mon router disparait comme si mon cable réseau serait défectueux ?

Pourtant quand j'étais en F7 tout roulait parfaitement ?

Avez-vous idée ou dios-je orienté mes recherches ?

quelle est la diode qui s'éteint au niveau de ton routeur ? peut-etre devrais tu essayer de forcer le débit et le duplex de ta carte pour que ton routeur comprenne le signal (par exemple, forcer du 10Mb/s en half duplex)

il faudrait savoir ptet deja voir si ta carte est correctement reconnu par f8. que te rends

Pourtant j'ai une carte p5n32-e-sli relativement récente et je n'avais pas accès au réseau.

effectivement les commandes sont à exécuter dans la console:
ouvres un terminal (une console), et tapes
su -
suivi de ton mot de passe root

visiblement ta carte semble etre integré au chipset de ta carte mère, donc je pense qu'il serait plus sage d'être de nous envoyer le retour de la commande:

je crois que je suis parti sur une fausse piste avec la dernière commande diff /boot/config-2.6.23.1-42.fc8 /boot/config-2.6.23.15-137.fc8
en fait il s'agit de voir la différence (commande diff) entre les deux fichiers de configuration de la f8. Or j'ai cru comprendre que la connection internet fonctionnait avec la f7.
est-ce qu'avec le noyau 42, tu avais accès à l'internet ? à priori je pense pas !

En tout premier lieu, je veux remercier tout ceux qui ont tenter de ve venir en aide.

Deuxio, pour régler mon problème j'ai décidé de le contourner en installant une autre réseau PCI et en désactivant celle présente sur le motherboard car je ne comprennais pas comment "patcher" le problème comme décris dans les liens précédent.
