Mais suite à la réinstalltion du kernel-core, je retrouve bien les fichiers sur boot :

Par contre le grub est incomplet : l'entrée du 4.14.8 a été supprimée (normal), mais elle n'a pas été rajoutée.
J'ai regénéré le grub :

Et là je trouve bien toutes les entrées correctes dans grub.cfg.
Tout est maintenant correct, à part l'erreur "grubby ..."
Est ce inquiétant ? Est ce du à l'installation manuelle du kernel sur /boot que j'ai faite manuellement ?
Pensez vous que je puisse attendre tranquillement le prochain kernel pour voir comment ça se passe ?
