probleme de lagage doom3 avec une ati radeon mobily 9700

voila j'ai une aurox (ce qui correspondrai à une fedora 2 etc...)
j'ai un aspire 1621 p4 2.8 avec 512 de RAM et une carte ati mobility Radeon 9700
j'ai installer les derniers drivers ati en datte j'ai configurer fglrx (un peu à l'arrache mais la 3D tourne)
jèai installé doom3-demo pour tester avant la version intégrale: ca lague (pas sous windobe mais mon pc surchauffe et fige au bout de 5min)
j'ai vu sur des forum qui ont fait tourner le jeu avec moins que ça.
Quelqu' un qui connait un peu le problème peut'il m'aider please

vive le communautarrisme libre et intelligent linux a bas le sectarrisme à la con de windows.

petit proverbe perso: l' intelligence est gratuite, la connerie se paid cher.

essai cette ligne de commande dans un xterm:
doom3 +set sys_videoRam 256 +set s_driver oss
le 256 etant la quantite de ram de ta carte video

est ce que tu peu me détailler un peu plus la commande stp parceque chuis nouveau sur linux (j'ai quand même fait un man xtern pour voir mais pas tout compris)

si tu est sur kde ouvre la console "konsole" et fais un copier coller.
xterm est la console X mais konsole sous kde fait a peu
près les mêmes commandes.
Xterm= X terminal

en fait j'ai réussi je te remercie pour l'info ca rame deja beaucoup moins autre qustion estc e que tu peux me dire comment on change la resolution du gnome dans la ligne de commande parce que dans mes accessoires de bureau ca marche pas merci encore (je fais tourner doom en 1024 sur un portable avec ati à 64 mb parce que gnome est à 1024 si les resolution des deux ne correspondent pas ca fait de la merde)

si tu tourne en mode fenêtré ça rame, en mode plein écran tu règles les parametres dans le jeu et tu le redemarre pour la prise en compte.

merci pour ta config je m'en servirai quand j'aurai installé la version complète
mais  pour la resolution si je met le jeu en 640(en pleine écran) et que le gnome (dont je n' arrive pas à changer la réso)est en 1024 je me tape un petit doom en bas à gauche entouré d'un gros bug grafique.Il n' y a que quand les deux correspondent que c bon.Est ce que tu sais comment on fait en ligne de commande ou d'une autre manière parce que mes utilitaires bureau (g bien regardé) ne me le permettent pas.merci

tape fglrxinfo dans une console et copie ici le resultat pour voir si le driver ati est pris en compte

bon je vois
tu te met en root ou tu tapes su dans une console et tu tape konqueror ou nautilus.
tu vas dans /etc/X11.
tu ouvres xorg.conf avec kedit ou gedit puis tu fais un copier coller ici.

nan en fait pour la résolution la section screen etait pas très complétée dans modes j' ai rajouté 800/600 et 640/480, ca marche
mais ca change pas gran chose voir rien pour le reste du lagage (lague encore un tout pti peu tro)est ce que tu peu me dire ou se trouve le doom.conf, keske k'on peu changer sans perdre en qualité, et au niveau de fglrx comment bien optimiser ma carte.Je suis sur que je peu arriver à faire tourner ce putain de doom sans que ca lague  :evil:
si tu connais un tuto (en français de preférence) qui donne deux trois trucs.
je te remercie

le fichier DoomConfig.cfg se touve dans la racine de ton repertoire:
/home/ton_repertoire/.doom3/base
fait afficher les fichiers caches et tu le verras.
