[Résolu] Fedora 4 Core Server Pobelm Dhcp

Bonjour,

Apres l installation de service DHCP(Fedora 4 core ) , puis la configuration de carte réseux et fichier  /etc/dhcpd.conf. ..etc
Le lancement de service dhcpd s'echoue.

Y at-il une solution ..?

ça doit faire à peu près 10 ans que cette version est sortie, et un peu moins qu'elle a été abandonnée.
quel intérêt d'installer cette vieillerie ? même pédagogique, c'est périmé !

Mais faudrait peut-être regarder tes logs pour savoir ce qu'il se passe.

Parfois on a pas le choix, il se peut que sur ce serveur il y a une application métier qui tourne uniquement sur fedora core 4 et que le re-développement de cette application coûterait trop chère pour qu'elle tourne sur une distrib plus récente.

Je connais beaucoup de serveur ( pourtant d'architecture très moderne ) où le client demande une installation de windows NT4 pour faire tournée son appli métier.

Certe pour l'installation d'un DHCP sur une vieillerie pareille je comprends pas non-plus, mais bon parfois on a pas le choix.

Je pense que th3simow attends plus des réponses constructives a son problème que pourquoi fedora core 4. bref...



Pour revenir au problème de th3simow, il serait peut être intéressant de donner le fichier de conf de ton serveur DHCP pour voir où peut-être l’erreur.

Le fichier de conf + le résultat de ifconfig. Histoire de vérifier que la plage du pool dhcp est bien portée par une de ses interfaces réseaux (cas classique).

@penthium2 est-ce qu'on est là pour essuyer les plâtres de gens qui ne veulent pas mettre à jour? Nous ont fait du support bénévolement, si une boite veut pas mettre à jour parce que ça lui coûterait de l'argent pourquoi nous on devrait donner de notre temps? On est obligé de lui conseiller de passer sur une version plus récente, ne serait-ce que pour avoir plus de chance d'être aidé (en dehors des risques évidents de sécurité). Si son problème n'est pas un truc tout bête de conf, qui ici aura encore une Fedora Core 4 pour l'aider?? Donc malgré ce que tu penses, tous les messages précédents étaient constructifs. Fedora Core 4 quand même! Juin 2005.

@th3simow : Il faut aussi que tu fournisses les logs système lors de la tentative de démarrage du service dhcp. Un message d'erreur ça aide toujours.

Pourquoi ne pas passer à une version de CentOS ou par là? ce serai plus simple et tu serai tranquille pendant 10 ans.

Euh désactiver SELinux n'est peut-être pas la solution... il vaudrait mieux créer une règle en regardant les messages générés par SELinux.
