I recently installed Fedora41. Since my brother printer DCP-J1140DW no longer works.
To be more accurate let me say:
I use a wifi connection.
I installed with the tools that is proposed by Brother on their site.
The installation goes fluent though the print Test page does nothing. After that the scanner works normally. That is to say that the wifi connection to the device is functional. I tried to remove and reinstall the printer several times but nothing new happened.
When launching a print from an app things appear to be normal and a notification that the document has been printed is displayed but the printer stays quiet.
Has somebody encountered the same issue ?
J’ai récemment installé Fedora 41. Depuis mon imprimante DCP-J1140DW ne fonctionne plus.
Pour être précis disons que:
j’utilise une connexion Wifi.
j’ai installé avec l’outil proposé par Brother (outil global imprimante +scanner)
L’installation se passe bien sauf que la page test ne s’imprime pas. Ensuite le scanner fonctionne bien ce qui laisse à penser que la connexion Wifi est normalement établie. J’ai essayé à plusieurs reprises de supprimer et réinstaller mais ça ne résout rien.
Lorsqu’on lance l’impression, tout parait normal et on obtient même une notification de travail accompli sauf que l’imprimante est restée de marbre.Pas un tremblement.
Quelqu’un fait-il face au même problème ?
Dernière nouvelle: après avoir éteint et redémarré l’imprimante. Une nouvelle imprimante s’est installée automatiquement et elle fonctionne. Je n’ai pas tout compris !
