Pb de connection internet : 2 cartes réseaux....

Salut tout le monde,

alors voilà, je possède une connection numéricable branchée en ethernet. J'ai un portable sous FC4, aucun pb, la connection fonctionne parfaitement.

Je souhaite mettre en place un "serveur-routeur", c'est à dire un PC qui recoit la connection numéricable par eth1, et qui la renvoie par eth0. Jusque là, tout va bien, apparemment le sujet a été traité de nombreuses fois.

FC4 est installée sur le PC, les deux cartes réseaux apparaissent bien, mais impossible de les activer, que ce soit pour la connection internet ou pour la connection au portable ! Lors de l'activation, j'ai le message

Définition des informations IP pour eth0 (ou 1). Echec !

Est ce que quelqu'un pourrait m'aider car là, ca fait vraiment super longtemps que je galère avec ca....

Concernant les cartes réseaux, elles sont de la marque NetGear, mais je ne sais plus le modèle exact...

tes interfaces sont paramétrées pour obtenir une adresse via DHCP

visiblement la configuration ne se fait pas :
pas d'adresse ip, pas de configuration des fichiers hosts et resolv.conf.

as-tu une doc avec ton boitier ? ou un numéro de hotline ?

tu peux tenter de configurer en statique l'interface eth0 par exemple via system-config-network

j'ai vu que certains messages issus de dmesg se rapportent à Wake On Lan.
Comme je ne l'utilise jamais et que je n'ai pas de soucis, je te suggère de faire un test en le désactivant ...

Ce qui est bizarre, c'est qu'avant, j'arrivais à avoir internet dessus (en provenance d'un XP en partage de connection), mais depuis un moment, plus rien ne va....

Non elles sont pas HS. Y'a juste pas de serveur DHCP sur ton reseau.... Donc pas d'attribution d'adresse IP..

On ne dit pas une connection, on dit une connexion. Et on ne dit pas connexion quand on parle d'un peripherique ou par extension,d'un reseau associe a un peripherique, mais une interface. Voila.

En fait il faut que tu regardes du coté de ton boitier qui doit te fournir normalement ton ip.

je te proposais une autre piste : du fait qu'il s'agit de vieux matériel peut-être que les cartes sont défectueuses mais ce n'est qu'une hypothèse ! si tu avais eu d'autres cartes il aurait été très facile d'éliminer cette piste ...

Je viens de brancher mon PC FC4 sur le modem Numericable.

La connexion fonctionne et lorsque je fais Bureu -> Paramètres du système -> réseau puis double clique sur eth0, je vois que la carte réseau est configurée en DHCP. Ca veut dire que chez numéricable, l'adresse IP est donnée automatiquement non ?

Wake On Lan se valide/invalide dans le BIOS du PC.

Je ne pense pas que tes cartes soient HS, mal configurées ça oui.
Il y a eu différentes époques avec les modems câble, mais aujourd'hui il y a des chances que le tien fonctionne avec PPPOE, à vérifier avec les doc fournies par ton FAI.
Pour la carte eth0 (réseau intérieur) mets une IP fixe en place du genre 192.168.1.10 et sur le 2ème PC, mets 192.168.1.20. Tu devrais déjà pouvoir les pinger mutuellement.
