Je suis actuellement en stage à Toronto, je viens juste de déménager de résidence universitaire et j'ai un soucis avec leur wifi (pas possible d'avoir internet par un câble malheureusement)
Il s'agit du réseau de l'université auquel les personnes externes à l'université se connectent grâce à des codes donnés par la résidence.
Je ne comprends pas ce qui se passe, au bout de quelques minutes le wifi se déconnecte après ça impossible de me reconnecter, il tourne en rond en me redemandant sans cesse les identifiants.
J'ai une tablette tactile que j'utilise pour mon boulot et elle s'est connectée sans problème. Étant en dual boot, de rage, j'ai même lancé windows pour voir. Après ses 98mises à jour et 1h plus tard j'ai eu les infos suivantes :
- wpa2 entreprise
- chiffrement AES
- PEAP
- MSCSHAP v2
J'ai un nom d'utilisateur et un mot de passe qui m'ont été fournis par la résidence et qui sont identiques pour tous les étudiants.
Il y a une sombre histoire de certificat lorsque j'essaye de me connecter, je dis "ignorer". Sous windows ça me donnait un truc du genre radius.wireless.utoronto.ca
Je passe par la solution graphique pour la configuration, du coup j'ai essayé un peu de bidouiller pour voir si je pouvais en tirer quelque chose en changeant un détail, genre désactiver l'ipv6, mais ça n'a rien donné.
Quelqu'un aurait une idée? Pour les deux semaines à venir j'ai un énorme travail à faire que je dois envoyer à l'école (en France) et bien évidemment j'ai besoin d'Internet... 🙁
Je ne sais pas quoi vous donner d'autres comme infos.

C'est à rien n'y comprendre. Des fois le réseau tient 1h, des fois pas 10 minutes... Je haie ce genre de truc "irrationnel".
J'ai trouvé une astuce pour réussir à le faire revenir lorsqu'il s'arrête, il faut que je désactive le wifi et que je le réactive...
L'information importante c'est qu'elle est la carte ? Pour information j'ai un soucis similaire sur les réseaux types eduroam avec une carte Atheros (AR9462)

Hier soir, je suis restée connectée plusieurs heures sans soucis. Ce matin en 5 minutes il s'est déjà déconnecté 3 fois !!!

Madko, que veux tu dire par changer de canal ? Car la ce n'est pas moi qui configure le wifi....
Ça me rend folle !!! Impossible d'utiliser internet sur mon ordi ce matin. Sauf que je ne peux pas bosser sur la tablette... Le réseau ne tient pas plus de 2 minutes et il faut que je recommence tout le cirque de désactivation réactivation, qui en plus ne fonctionne pas à chaque fois. Je ne comprends pas comment c'est possible une chose pareille !!! :roll:
si ça peut fonctionner pendant des heures c'est qu'a priori le problème ne vient pas forcément de ta configuration. Soit c'est les aleas du wifi (signal radio, donc interference etc), soit un probleme de saturation etc. Bref essaye de voir dejà ce qu'en pense les gestionnaires du reseau. Nous on va pas pouvoir t'aider plus que ça malheureusement.

Ou problème du pilote Atheros avec ce type de cryptage...
Madko : je ne pense pas que ça soit juste un des aléas du wifi sinon j'aurai aussi le problème sur ma tablette et sous windows non? Il y a que sous Fedora que ça pose un problème....
Quand à voir l'administrateur réseau... Je n'ai aucune idée de comment et où le trouver, je ne suis là que depuis hier et pour 1 mois! En juillet je doute que je trouve quelqu'un de compétent pour ça... Sans compter que je vois bien venir la tête du type quand je vais lui expliquer que j'ai le problème que sous Linux, pas sur ma tablette et pas sous windows => "où es le problème dans ce cas, vous n'avez cas travailler sous windows!!"

Tu avais fait quoi toi du coup ? Dis moi qu'il y a un moyen d'arranger ça !
demande qu'on te prete un dongle wifi usb, au pire ça coute genre 7€, en evitant du Atheros si c'est ça qui semble gener. Ensuite tu es sous Fedora 17. La 19 arrive, les pilotes ont pu évoluer et corriger ton problème, qui sait...

Quand ça coupe, tape la commande dmesg et donne nous les dernieres lignes, si c'est en rapport avec le wifi (ou la totale si tu sais pas trop, avec les balises code ici)

Pour ce qui est de formater, ça ne sera pas possible, je n'ai rien ici, ni graveur, ni rien pour faire mes sauvegarde générales (juste un petit disque dur pour enregistrer certaines choses). Et je me vois mal formater sans pouvoir faire les mises à jour après si impossible de me connecter... Bref, je vais de toute façon devoir faire avec ce que j'ai !

C'est mon portable de bureau (Latitude) en fait le Dell était livré sous Ubuntu et j'avais déjà ces déconnexions donc je suis passé sur un OS que je connais beaucoup mieux mais on va dire ça s'est pas arrangé... Je suis donc bien souvent branché en câble au bureau et à la maison en WPA2 (box classique) donc le réseau « eduroam » je l'évite un maximum...
Je viens de passer sous F19 pour voir mais j'avais tellement à faire que je ne pouvais pas me permettre de tester une connexion en wifi. J'espère que demain je pourrais tenter de rester toute la journée en wifi pour voir si c'est mieux ou pas...

Pour information, dans mes recherches, avec le dmesg, comme demande madko, j'avais repéré que souvent la déconnexion était produite par un timeout d'identification. Je pense que plus on est proche de la source wifi moins il y a de déconnexions mais j'ai pas beaucoup plus investigué.
J'ai posté le dmesg, perso je n'y comprends rien, j'ai juste l'impression qu'il y a un problème authentification, en rapport avec le pays ?
ça ressemble à un probleme qu'on a déjà eu sur le forum, il passe son temps à changer de code de pays FR <=> Canada, autorisant ou non certains canaux (d'où peut être le côté aléatoire). http://forums.fedora-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=58726&p=2 Essaye peut être de regler ton fuseau horaire sur Toronto.

regarde avec dmesg si tu vois de nouveau des bascules entre les country code CA et FR. Si ça le fait plus, c'est surement ça le problème. En tout cas on croise les doigts pour toi.

Connecté depuis 1 heure environ sans déconnexion sous F19. Peut-être est-ce plus stable de mon côté là dessus. Mais bien vu pour le coup du FR <-> CA !
C'était principalement un problème avec la F17, dès la 18 c'était censé être corrigé. Après avec la F19 ils ont encore peut être amélioré ça.
Pour info, c'était moi qui avait ouvert le post en question (FR <-> CA). J'avais réussi à avoir un Wifi qui marchait (en ajoutant "options cfg80211 ieee80211_regdom=EU" à /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf). Par contre, ça ne changeait pas le fait que ça m'affichait des milliards de
