alors voila ce qui m'amene :

lors de l'utilisation normale ( je pense ) de mon pc sous fedora 18 j'ai quelque rares fois tout qui se bloque ...

c'est a dire que je nai plus la possibillte d'interagir avec mes differentes fenetres presentes et il n'y a plus que le curseur de la souris qui bouge et ce sans le moindre effet...

et quelques minutes plus tard mon bureau se recharge et mes fenetres se reinstallent a leurs place....

y aurait il un moyen d'analyser et de remedier a ce probleme..? merci d'avance

Tu es sous gnome, kde ou autres ?
As-tu installé des extensions (ou des plasmoids si tu es sous kde) ?
d'accord...
donc je suis sous gnome 3.6...
et dans "extensions"..? c'est a dire ..? il est un peu debutant en linux le gars mais ne demande qu'a apprendre...
par extensions j’entendais applet du genre gnome-shell-extension (ou plasmoid pour kde), certaines ne fonctionnant pas sous F18...

Je suis personnellement sous KDE , et il y a dans mon home un fichier .xsession-errors, qui raconte pas mal de chose quand il y a un problème, mais je ne sais pas si ce fichier existe avec gnome...
oui j'ai gnome extensions....
he bien je vais aller jeter un oeil si je trouve ce fichier..
sinon il existe une ligne de commande qui peut faire apparaitre le probleme.?

Après un freeze, si tu peux taper ces commandes et nous poster le résultat ça pourrait aider:
dmesg

et dans la foulée (avant/après un freeze peu importe), pour en savoir plus sur le matériel:

Et surtout, vu que c'est très long ces sorties de commandes, utilise bien la balise code lors de l'édition de ta réponse. Sinon c'est illisible (inutile).

Sinon dans les logs et autres resultats de commandes, c'est toujours intéressant. Donc ya le truc en rapport avec l'ACPI. Après je vois des choses, oui, comme xfs, et surtout Btrfs, si tu peux nous donner le résultat de la commande:
mount
Par contre pas vraiment de traces de freeze ou autres problèmes importants qui pourraient expliqué ce qui t'arrives. le dmesg et tail -n50 /var/log/messages t'as pu les faire après un de ces freeze?

Peut être aussi nous copier/coller le contenu de /var/log/Xorg.0.log si c'est possible?

Ben je sais pas trop. Je sais que chez moi, ça plante assez souvent et je sais pas pourquoi. Je pense que c'est un problème lié à Gnome Shell.
Peut-être que le fichier .xsession-error dans ton home pourra t'en dire plus...
