sur le clavier de mon asus, certaines combinaisons fn + ... marchent sans problème (veille, activer/désactiver le wifi, son, luminosité), d'autres ne marchent pas. la plus embetante est celle qui permet de déactiver le touchpad et celles qui controlent la musique (suivant/précédant/stop/pause - lecture), et la calculette.

Il semble qu'ces combinaisons de touches ne sont pas reconnues comme raccourci clavier (ex : j'ai un applet pour afficher le bureau, auquel j'ai mis le raccourci clavier windows + D ; par contre quand j'essaie de mettre fn + D rien ne se passe).

Y a t il un moyen de lier ces combinaisons de touches à des actions (ou scripts à la rigueur) ?

La même sur mon HP mini 200-4210sf, les touches fn que tu as énoncées ne fonctionnent plus non plus (elles fonctionnaient sous Ubuntu), ni les touches f1, f2 et consorts (adieu les terminaux console 🙁 ).
Je vais checker mon bios pour voir si ça fonctionne. Je vous dis tout dés que j'ai fini.
Le plus simple pour voir si ces raccourcis sont bien recconus est d'utiliser xev dans un terminal, puis de faire les combinaisons de touches incriminées. Si elles te donnent un code touche, c'est qu'elles sont reconnus ! Dans ce cas à toi de les mapper comme tu veux grace à l'outils de kde de gestion des raccourcis et évennements.

je up ce sujet, depuis une maj récente les touches fn + volume {up,down,off} sont inactives ; les autres sont encore fonctionnelles (luminosité, wifi, mise en veille, inst). quelqu'un a le même problème ?

quand je lance xev ; rien se se passe lorsque j'appuie sur fn. un bug à reporter à kde ?

je précise que le raccourci clavier pour le volume existe bien dans kmix ("augmenter le volume" etc) ; mais quand j'appuie sur la touche, rien ne se passe.

Je ne pense pas que c'est un bug, j'ai le même comportement, xev ne réagit pas si j'appuie sur la touche FN.

Par contre cela réagit si j'appuie sur FN + une des touches F (F1 à F9 chez moi)
erf chez moi ça ne réagit pas avec fn + F*

alors, problème résolu pour le volume. xev me renvoie bien un retour quand j'appuie sur fn + volume. cependant comme Chepioq le disait, fn seul ne renvoie rien.

je ne vois pas d'explication claire à ça, j'ai tenté de créer un raccourci custom en faisant config systeme\raccourcis et gestes\ personnalisés - click droit\nouveau\raccourci global\entrée clavier ; puis j'ai appuyé sur fn+volume up ; et là j'ai vu le volume monter et la notification s'afficher sur l'écran. depuis pas de problème, même après un déco reco.

et problème résolu pour kcalc avec le fn+numpad_enter ; via un raccourci clavier custom !
Cela peut venir aussi du kernel (de la mise à jour).
Par exemple avec les kernels 3.8 et les premier 3.9, FN +f8 et FN+f9 (qui servent à augmenter et diminuer la luminosité de l'écran) ne fonctionnaient pas sur mon portable.

Avec le dernier kernel 3.9.2-200, plus de problème, cela fonctionne.
bon en fait je réouvre, après un reboot tout est parti... AAAAAAHHH !!!
c'est extrêmement bizarre. Juste avant que les raccourcis se mettent à marcher, j'avais fait un tour dans le BIOS sans rien modifier cependant. Puis, reboot et ça a cesser de marcher. retour dans le BIOS, pas d'effet.

Puis là ce matin, retour dans le BIOS, et raccourcis reconnus. je n'y comprends RIEN.
bon en fait ça n'est pas stable, j'ai l'impression que les raccourcis marchent juste après une maj kernel et reboot mais pas après le reboot suivant.

j'ai essayé de rajouter acpi_backlight=vendor acpi_osi=Linux à /etc/default/grub ; sans effet/

problème résolu en ajoutant modprobe asus-nb-wmi au fichier /etc/rc.modules (qui doit être executable).

edit : je en vois rien dans xev quand j'appuie sur les touches brightness up/down, mais ça doit quand même être pris en charge par le bios, vu que j'ai un changement de luminosité mais pas la barre avec le % qui apparait. je vais reporter le bug.

edit 2 : en virant acpi_backlight=vendor du /etc/default/grub ; ça marche nickel
