Ce sujet est là pour faire le point avec les processeurs graphique radeon et gnome 3.

Effectivement malgrés des essais avec plusieurs types de processeurs graphique différent, je n'ai pas vu de problème avec gnome 3 :

Cartes testé :
Radeon X1600XT PCI-E (R5xx)
Radeon HD4850OC PCI-E (R7xx)
Résultat :
Pas de bogues graphique, ni de problèmes de performance
Test en cours avec une R6xx (HD3780 si je ne me trompe pas).

N'ayant pas de HD5xxx et plus (R8xx/R9xx), je n'ai pas de retour à ce niveau personnellement et professionnellement.

Merci de ne pas pourrir ce sujet par des questions, c'est juste pour tenter de trouver une solution avec vos retours d’expérience.

Ça tourne sans soucis, sans ralentissement, ni artefacts.

Un point à mentionner : j'avais constaté des freezes (environ une fois pas jour) lors du passage à la vue Activités. Toutefois des mises à jour semblent avoir corrigé le problème.

Faible dérangement :
1/ Faible probabilité d'un crash au démarrage, l'écran devient tout simplement blanc et plus rien. Il suffit de faire un hard boot et ça règle le problème pour au moins 1 semaines voir 2. (je donnerai plus d'info avec un EDIT de mon post plus tard)

2/ Léger artefact qui rappelle la session précédente au lancement de GDM. Disparait lorsque GDM est lancé.

Voilà pour le moment. Mais je tiens à ajouter que sinon, ça marche du feu de dieu.

pour moi j'ai un problème de gestion de l'énergie qui n'est absolument pas bien géré:
la carte fonctionne à son plein potentiel en permanence ce qui a tendance a faire chauffer mon pc portable , a faire tourner les ventillo à fond, à dégommer la batterie (3fois plus rapidement que sur W7). ce problème de gestion d'énergie n'est pas présent avec les drivers proprio (mais ils sont inutilisables autrement).

sinon j'ai noté plusieurs autres problème mais je ne sais pas si il sont du au driver graphique (freeze au login obligeant a se déloguer puis se reloguer).

À quoi sert ce fil ? À identifier les cartes qui marchent ? Elles sont déjà listées dans la page de man de radeon.
S'il y a un vrai problème, on crée un nouveau fil sur le forum et/ou on rapporte de bogue.
Bogue déjà rapporté, c'est juste pour trouver si c'est liée à une série de gpu ou non, n'ayant pas vu ce problème avec plusieurs série du R3xx au R7xx.

J'ai lancé ce sujet pour justement trouver une solution vu que cela ne se reproduit pas forcément chez tout le monde.

Pour la solution, il semble que ce soit liée à la synchronisation vertical désactivé vu que j'ai constaté quelques artéfact sous KDE (en test sous gnome3) depuis la mise hors service de cette option.

Donc non ce n'est pas forcément un bogue vu que c'est le défaut de cette option.

Donc un rajout dans la doc sera effectué si il s'avère que c'est bien cela qui crée les défauts visuels.

Et puis tant que j'y suit :
Pour la gestion de la fréquence du gpu, la solution est dans la documentation ->Gestion de l'énergie . Par contre cela n'a pas l'air d'influencer la vitesse des ventilateurs si cela n'est pas auto-géré.
Ces réglages apportent bien quelques chose en terme de consommation ayant constaté personnellement une baisse/autmentation de la température interne du gpu et des performances brutes.

Ça tu l'avais déjà écrit. Il aurait été intéressant de détailler comment activer/désactiver la synchro.
On l'avait déjà donner dans un autre sujet, c'était juste pour confirmer si j'allais la rajouter dans la doc.

Donc confirmation des défauts visuels avec la synchronisation vertical désactivé.

Solution :
1 : Installer xvattr si cela n'est pas déjà fait : su -lc 'yum install xvattr'
2 : Création du fichier radeon.sh à rajouter en root dans /etc/profile.d/
3 : Ajout de la ligne suivante : export vblank_mode=3
Cela pour une prise en charge par défaut de la synchronisation vertical forcé.

Par la suite on peut jouer avec les options de vblank_mode :
vblank_mode=0 synchronisation vertical désactivé
vblank_mode=3 synchronisation vertical forcé par défaut
Il reste deux autres mode, je recherche la description exacte qui sont :
- Choix de l'application, mais activé par défaut
- Choix de l'application, mais désactivé par défaut

Pour utiliser les options temporairement de vblank_mode, il faut utiliser la commande suivante en modifiant le chiffre (en gras) par les choix ci-dessus :
export vblank_mode=0
Vérification avec glxgear exemple :
vblank_mode=0 -> 1325.515FPS
vblank_mode=3 -> 60.15FPS
Texte en préparation pour une intégration dans la documentation du pilote libre ATI, je me demande si on ne pourrait pas la mettre aussi dans les astuces pour GNOME3 ou autre, car cela doit concerné aussi les autres environnements graphique (Même problème constaté sur KDE par exemple).

C'est un problème connu depuis des années, ce n'est pas non plus un bogue.

Cela permet la synchronisation du balayage vertical de votre moniteur qui est généralement de 85hz pour les CRT et 60hz pour les LCD (variable selon la résolution et ce que supporte votre moniteur). Cela évite donc les déchirements de textures et autres défauts visuel. Par contre cela fait baisser les performances, je test pour savoir si l'on peut rétablir la désactivation dans les jeux, par exemple, avec le programme driconf qui permet de le faire jeu par jeu, application par application.
Pour ma part j'ai envoyé ce bug -> https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=716738 Ça plante n'importe quand en fesant n'importe quoi.. :-? J'aimais bien la beta :hammer: (aucun soucis de plantage)

Va falloir que je réinstalle Fedora 15 en fds (si j'ai le temps) pour compléter..

EDIT: J'ai d'abord pensé à laisser par défaut le Power Management mais apparament ce n'est pas ça non plus (même par défaut ça plante)
Bizarre tout de même ton problème, ta regardé avec une nouvel utilisateur? Si c'est avec le pilote propriétaire, ce n'est pas le bon sujet pour en parler... Normalement la dernière révision du pilote proprio devrait résoudre tout cela, mais je n'ai pas de note de version pour confirmer.

Sinon si vous constatez une amélioration avec la solution plus haut, merci de confirmer.

Ta vérifié tes disques dur? j'ai eu la mauvaise expérience avec du seagate 7200.12 (d’ailleurs si c'était la seul...) qui me planté l'ordi aléatoirement sans raison.

Principalement ce qui est souligné ou avec .

Pour comparaison avec mon Seagate 7200.12, Seek_Error_Rate dépassé les millions alors que là il est à zéro... J'avais que des micro accès en permanence et cela me posé des problèmes de stabilité par moment. Surtout quand ce seagate était mon disque dur système.

j'ai éxactement le mème problème que DiEOrLivE
j'ai un cpu core i7 720 qm et comme je le disais précédament une radeon hd 5730M (madison je crois)
le pilote libre crash aléatoire; le pilote propriétaire pas de crash mais inutilisable (ou presque sous gnome3)
au final j'ai fini par passer sous KDE avec le pilote proprio et ça marche correctement mais je n'ai pas retesté le pilote libre: Vindicators si ça peut t'aider je peux le tester voir si les crash surviennent aussi sous kde ou non...

Vous avez fait un rapport de bogue sur le bugzilla? parce là c'était les bogues visuels principalement. Au vu des nombreux messages dans ce sens, j'avais ouvert ce sujet pour tenter de trouver une solution ce qui est confirmé sur deux machines différentes.

Il faudrait aussi vos log du serveur graphique après le plantage, car là... ABRT ne vous fait pas de rapport?
