je viens d'installer F15 sur mon EeePC. Installation avec une clé USB faite avec Fedora LiveUSB Creator. Tout c'est bien passé à l'installation par contre, j'ai un soucis de lenteur au lancement de la machine. Celle-ci met environ 1 mn 30 à 2 mn pour afficher l'écran de connexion utilisateur. En appuyant sur la touche Échap au lancement, je vois que ça bloque sur
Started setup Virtual console
puis sur
Starred LSB Start and stop sendmail
Vous avez une idée du pourquoi de la chose?

non je n'ai rien trouvé. La clé USB a été faite avec une version beta. Je réessaierai avec la version définitive quand j'aurais un moment.
Pour ma part, j'ai réussi à desactiver sendmail (et d'autres services inutiles...) comme ceci :
# systemctl stop sendmail.service
# systemctl disable sendmail.service
Par contre c'est encore assez lent au démarrage...

Dans /var/log/boot.log j'ai l'impression qu'il me fait un fsck de tout mon disque à chaque démarrage...

Même problème sur eeepc 701, alors que sur plusieurs autres pc ça boot rapidement...
@TuXFire : pourrais-tu comparer les 2 log /var/log/boot.log de chaque pc (eeepc et un autre...)
ou les poster pour pouvoir comparer...

le eeepc execute-t-il fsck a chaque demarrage ?

Je viens de l'installer sur un asus f5, j'ai aussi de grosses lenteurs au démarrage. Alors que sue mon toshiba amd64 atlon x2, c'est du tonnere, ça marche impeccable. tous les deux ont ati comme carte graphique. Quelle est la situations de votre coté actuellement? Une solution trouvée? J'ai quelques fois l'écran qui se brouille au démarrage et je suis obligé de redemarrer.

Y aurai pas des fioritures de chez ASUS à désactiver (genre express gate ou autre chose ?). En voyant toutes les options du bios de la CM, je n'ose vraiment pas toucher à tout au risque de tout faire péter.
Au début, je pensais que ça venait de btrfs (il y avait un check disk à chaque démarrage), du coup, je suis passé en ext4 sur un LVM, mais c'est aussi lent (peut être un peu moin vu que je n'ai plus droit au check disk systématique).

Bref, est-ce qu'il y a énormément de monde qui à un temps boot lamentable (au vu des quelques poignées de secondes annoncées grâce à systemD) ?

j'ai toujours le même problème de lenteur au démarrage... Quand j'ai installé FC15 sur mon sony vaio j'en ai pas cru mes yeux, il a démarré en 30 sec !
Quant à lui, mon eee pc met au moins 3min !!! quand je ne dois pas le redémarrer ou user du ctrl+D... pfff, la galère

Je n'ai pas eu le temps de vraiment chercher... mais va falloir s'y mettre :-P

J'ai fait comme ça, j'ai réussi à trouver. Bon courage a vous deux.

[edit] : Bien sur, si vous pataugez longtemps, faudra creuser un peu plus.
Pour ma part, la météo estivale de ces 2 derniers jours a eu raison de ma quête informatique...

Néanmoins j'ai grandement avancé car je me suis aperçu avec dmesg, qu'il y avait entr'autre un pb avec em2 et le wlan... donc j'ai désactivé dans le bios ces 2 composants, juste pour voir et au miracle, de 132714ms, on est passé à 53329ms !!!

Etant donné qu'un netbook sans le net ne sert pas à grand chose, j'ai choisi de réactivé juste le wifi... on remonte alors à 73575ms (par rapport à 132714ms tout de même...)

Je sais donc mieux où chercher le problème...

Il se trouve que depuis quelque temps aussi je subis régulièrement des freezes en cours d'utilisation (durée aléatoire avant freeze). Le freeze me bloque complètement clavier et souris, du coup plus moyen de retrouver un terminal pour effectuer un reboot plus "propre" que celui avec le bouton de la tour.

Autre cas intéressant : si j'appuie sur le bouton d'alimentation alors qu'il à freezé, il se met quand même en veille (commme en fonctionnement normal), mais reste figé à la reprise.

Si vous avez des idées ... je suis preneur.
