Problème d'installation des pilotes de ma carte wifi

Bonjour à tous,

je suis tout nouveau dans le monde fedora. Je viens de windows. J'ai déjà fais du linux mais que du théorique.

Je voudrais devenir un "linuxien".

Après l'installation de fedora, j'ai remarqué que ma carte wifi (intégrée) ne marchait pas.

J'ai un pc portable compaq, et il y a un bouton d'activation du wifi sur le pc. Actuellement, le voyant est toujours rouge, ce qui signifie désactivé.

J'ai déjà fait une multitude de tentatives d'installation de la carte wifi, j'ai cherché sur google, les forums, mais j'ai rien trouvé.

Aidez moi s'il vous plait.

Quand je fais la commande lspci, il y a la ligne suivante qui apparait (c'est celle qui est en relation avec la carte wifi je pense)

Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN (rev 02)

Bonsoir,

ta carte est a priori supportée par le noyau Fedora. As-tu installé le firmware pour cette carte ?

yum install b43-openfwwf

Après installation, un reboot devrait suffire pour activer ta carte.

Mes excuses les plus plates, le firmware que je t'ai fait installé ne passe pas avec les chipsets BCM4311 rev.2 (le rev. 1 l'est par contre).
Dans ce cas :
1) désinstalle le paquetage que je t'ai fait installé ;
2) suis les instructions de cet article :
http://doc.fedora-fr.org/wiki/Installation_du_wifi_-_Broadcom#Vous_avez_un_acc.C3.A8s_filaire

Merci pikachu!!! En fait le pilote a l'air d'avoir été installé car le voyant sur mon pc s'allume bleu (avant il s'allumait rouge), mais je ne sais pas comment faire la recherche des réseaux et m'y connecter...

Ta carte est reconnue pourtant. As-tu utilisé l'applet NetworkManager (si tu es sous GNOME, clique sur l'applet avec deux petits écrans) ? Elle te permettra d'afficher les réseaux wifi alentours et de t'y connecter.
