Problème driver NVIDIA 185.18

Salut à tous,
Une mise à jour automatique, m'a remplacé mes drivers Nvidia 180.51 par les 185.18.
Verdict : freeze au démarrage, juste avant l'écran de connexion.
J'ai du démarré en init 3 pour les supprimer et réinstaller les précédents.
Il y aurait incompatibilité avec le kernel si j'ai bien compris...
D'autres "victimes"?
Une explication?

Est ce que tu es certain d'avoir installé le pilote nvidia correctement déja !
Est ce que tu peux poser ton fichier xorg.conf et les logs de chargement de x, /var/log/Xorg.0.log (voire /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old)

Salut kwizart,
J'avoue ne pas avoir relevé précisément les infos que j'avais en mode texte, mais oui je suis sûr d'avoir bien installé le pilote Nvidia puisque c'est lui qui tourne en ce moment. Le 185.18 fulmine dans les updates en ce moment, mais je résisterai ce soir à ce réflexe obsessionnel de tout vouloir à jour!

Oui, mais tes deux logs concernent le pilote 180.51.
Bootes avec le dernier et poste la version .old (du précédante boot).

Est ce que tu es certain que nouveau a été blacklisté ?

Est ce que tu peux poster ton xorg.conf ?

J'ai donc réinstallé cette mise à jour, rebooté en init 3 et modifié le xorg pour pouvoir t'envoyer toutes les infos suivantes.
Donc le message d'erreur est le suivant :

Manifestement l'erreure est là. akmod devrait forcer la recompilation du nouveau module.
C'est pour cela que je déconseille l'utilisation de akmod par rapport au kmod equivalent pour des kernel distribués par fedora.

Est ce que tu peux essayer en desinstallant tout, supprimes ton xorg.conf et réinstalles proprement les paquets nvidia...

Effectivement, je viens de rebooter avec les nouveaux drivers 185.18.14 (j'utilise le kmod) et je n'ai aucun problème. Cool.

Pas de chance pour moi : je n'installe jamais akmod habituellement, sauf cette deuxième fois, pour voir si cela réglait mon problème.
Dès que j'ai le temps, je nettoie tout et je te/vous tiens au courant.

Malheureusement le problème est le même (désinstallation de tout ce qui avait rapport à Nvidia, sauf nouveau, et réinstallation en 185 après un reboot), et à dire vrai, je n'avais pas beaucoup d'espoir, puisque initialement le akmod n'était pas installé.

apparemment se sont les mêmes erreurs que Edes et j'ai se problème sur mes deux pc
configue 1 : desktop phenom X4 geforce gt280
configue 2 : portable msi GX700 Geforce 8600GT
