j'ai une webcam intégré a mon portable acer 9920. Lorsque je lance Studio Webcam Cheese, la cam s'allume, mais aucune image apparait dans le cadre. J'ai regardé sur la doc Fedora pour l'install des cam mais je ne comprends pas tout sauf que j'ai cette ligne:

J'ai effectué une recherche sur le web mais je tombe sur des post qui parlent de clef USB .. ou autre, ou alors pas vu.

le nouveau kernel ne comprend plus de "blobs" les firmware sont disponible séparément peut etre te manque t'il ça(celui pour ta webcam).
lance ton logiciel en console et regarde si il sort des erreurs.

Il me dit pour tant dans la config :

Un truc bizarre est que des que je ferme la fenêtre le carré fond noir ou il doit y avoir la photo (image de la cam) apparait 1 seconde le temps que ça ferme..
je vais tenter avec ma webcam meme si ce n'est pas la meme
ta webcam utilise uvc...

beaucoup de changement avec 2.6.26 et 27 pour la gestion des firmwares

Chez moi la webcam est reconnue automatiquement (portable Asus) et cheese fonctionne très bien.

c'est pas les codecs c est le fait qu'il y a eu une décision de n'inclure plus de trucs binaire dans le kernel maintenant

certaines webcam ont besoin de "blob" externe non?

je suis allé dans préférences et sélectionner 176x144
pour avoir l'image, une autre résolution et c'est l'ecran noir.
Un pote a pareil sur son HP dv6000, ça ne marche qu'en résolution minimale.
idem pour un acer 5710z et aucun message d'erreur ni dans dmesg ni dans cheese
Effectivement, en mettant la plus petite résolution ça fonctionne, c'est dommage quand même... Il y a pas une solution ?
sans doute que ça sera regler dans une mise à jour ou le prochain kernel si le probleme a été reporter.
