Samba, pas de montage

Bonjour à toutes et tous.

Voila, aprés installation de samba, configuration... Je vois mon poste fedora9 sur le réseaux, j'arrive à partager mes dossiers/fichiers, écrire dessus. Mais bizarrement, l'inverse n'est pas possible.

C'est à dire, à partir de mon poste fedora9, je vois les autres pc's, les dossiers mais je ne peut y accédez. Il me réponds : Impossible de monter l'emplacement, aprés avoir rentrer le nom et mdp.

Ma commande :
rpm -qa | grep samba

Si tu fais :
rpm -ql samba
Tu verras que tous les exécutables de serveur (smbd , nmbd, /etc/init.d/smbd, ...) sont dans le paquet samba et non samba-server.

Pour démarrer samba tu n'as pas besoin (sauf pour ta culture générale) de savoir dans quel paquet se trouve un service si ce service se trouve dans la liste des services à démarrer pour samba : smb et éventuellement nmb .

A titre d'information, sous F8 c'était déjà comme cela

Il me semble que pour pouvoir utiliser samba, il faut ajouter les noms et adresses des machines dans ces fichiers...
A moins que ce ne soit pour un autre service :-?

Je veux bien t'aider, mais il faut aussi y mettre du tien.
As-tu démarré les services smb et nmb (nmb est facultatif sauf si tu désires une annonce NetBios sur ton réseau local) ?
Que disent les logs de samba (/var/log/samba) ?
Quel est le contenu de ton /etc/samba/smb.conf

Le log de smbd indique qu'il a démarré, donc il n'y a pas de problème de ce côté là.
Comment est le Pare-Feu (firewall) ?

ouvert, puisque de l'autre pc, je me connecte sur ce poste (fedora9). C'est la ou je comprends pas. Je vais refaire des essaies, pour voir certain point .

Je rencontre le même problème plus ou moins.

J'ai des postes Win98, Linux et Win XP PRO.

Depuis F9

- XP PRO, je vois la machine mais pas moyen de voir les dossiers partagés.

- Linux, je vois les partages mais il me met aussi impossible de monter le partage mais après plusieurs essais, j'arrive à rentrer le mot de passe et je peux ensuite me connecter sur les partages sans plus de problème.

- Sur Win98, où les dossiers sont partagés sans mot de passe, si je vais sur le partage du dossier directement, ça ne marche pas mais si je passe par le partage de C, c'est ok et ensuite je peux me connecter directement au dossier.

Edit 1

Après redémarrage du pc F9, plus de problème avec les postes Linux et Win98 mais toujours rien avec Win XP PRO.

Un truc que je ne comprends pas trop, c'est que les services NMB et SMB ne se lancent pas au démarrage du pc mais j'arrive à travailler sur les dossiers partagés.
Ce n'est pas ses services qui permettent ça justement?

smb gère les ressources partagées
nmb gère les annonces netbios qu'un pc partageant peut faire aux autres pc Une annonce gérée par nbm peut se résumeren je m'appelle truc et je partage quelquechose. Ceci sur un réseau local de 5 pc cela peut aller, mais sur 100 pc et plus entraine une charge réseau inutile et même Micro$oft n'ose plus en faire la promotion. Mais Netbios est l'hériter direct de window$ 3.1 qui n'a jamais supporté 100 pc. Et NetBios a été écrit au début en s'appuyant sur NetBEUI et non TCP/IP à une époque où Micro$oft affirmait pouvoir se passer de TCP/IP. Tout ça pour dire qu'on revient de loin.... le passage à window$ 3.11 a permis de travailler avec TCP/IP au lieu de NetBUI, mais il a fallu plusieurs années pour avoir une pile TCP/IP correcte (bien que toujours incomplète).

Si chaque pc sait qu'un serveur samba (connu par son nom ou son IP) partage quelque chose, ce n'est pas la peine de démarrer NMB. Chaque PC fait sa connexion réseau en indiquant un nom de host et un nom de partage.

Pour tes problèmes que disent les log de samba ? ? ?

Je ne vois pas ce que NTFS a à voir avec samba. Le PC qui partage peut être sous Linux, Mac ou Window$ c'est son problème et pas celui du PC client qui veut y accèder .

Quelle PC est le serveur (celui qui partage) et quel PC est celui qui veut accèder à une ressource partagée.

Avec le smbclient que tu envoie Linux est le client et ton XP est le serveur qui ne partage rien en dehors de IPC$, ADMIN$ et C$ qui sont a priori des partages administratifs.

Si tu veux à partir de XP accéder à un ou des répertoires de ton LINUX, ton linux est le serveur et XP est le client.

Je t'ai demandé :
smbclient -L ton_adresse_ip_locale_serveur

C'est que je veux voir les propriétés de ton serveur Linux avec comme client ton Linux.

Je pense que tu ne donnes pas la bonne adresse IP pour ton XP.
192.168.0.3
te donne

Donc tu pointes sur un Unix avec samba et non pas un XP.

smbclient est un programme de la suite samba qui permet de se connecter sur un serveur (samba, window$) pour pouvoir faire ce que l'on fait habituellement avec ftp.
C'est donc un utilitaire orienté en mode commande, et ce n'est pas forcément ce que tu désires.

Je fais utiliser smbclient de temps en temps pour vérifier la connectivité du serveur.
Pour tester ton serveur samba
smbclient -L adresse_ip_de_ton_serveur_samba
Pour tester ton serveur XP tu peux donc utiliser :
smbclient -L adresse_ip_de_tonXP

Quand tu auras résolu les problèmes de login/passwd tu pourras passer au
mount -t cifs /adresse_ip_de_ton_xp/nom_partage /le nom_de_ton_point_de_montage
