Besoin d'un tutorat intensif pour installer mon wifi (athéros 5007eg)

Bonsoir à tous,

Je débute sur Fédora et je dois avouer que je rame complet. J'ai essayé en lisant le wiki sur la mise en place du wifi (chipster Athéros 5007eg) mais sans succès... Pour tout dire, j'ai fait des manipulations, via la console, notamment certaines indiqués sur des sites linuxiens (mais d'ubuntu je crois) moralité certaines commandes ont foirées, d'autres sembles agire, mais quand je vais dans réseau, je ne retrouve pas ma carte wifi.

Donc, promis, je vais me teindre en blond, en attendant, une bonne volonté pourrait-elle me guider pas à pas pour installer cette maudite carte...

PS : préparez-vous à me revoir bientôt (pb sur certains sites nécessitant flash acrobat, openoffice est en anglais) :-?

le paquet qui gère ta carte n'est pas encore disponible en livna-testing pour F-9.
Il faut prendre les srpm de F-8 et les recompiler: (voire doc environnement de construction).

Un grand merci à toi... J'espère que je vais y arriver. C'est toujours déstabilisant de perdre ses repères (de windobe, je suis passé à Mandriva avec une facilité relative, mais là avec Fédora, je me sens vraiment perdu). Avec le temps, cela viendra

J'ai la même carte et une archi 32 bits sous F9 ...
Mais j'ai des erreurs !

Tu dois créer un environnement de construction. (cf la doc)
Mais c'est encore plus simple que cela puisque les paquets ont été recompilé dans livna-testing pour F-9
yum --enablerepo=livna-testing install kmod-madwifi

Je suis rentré chez moi et ma carte wifi n'est pas détectée !
(alors qu'elle l'était avant, mais elle ne fonctionnait pas ! 🙁 )

Dois je la rajouter manuellement dans System>Administration>Réseau ?

Très mauvaise idée. Dans le cas broadcom, elle devrait être supporté. il faut extraire le firmware.
Si elle ne l'était pas ou que je support n'est pas suffisant (donnes un /sbin/lspci tout de même), alors oui ndiswrapper est une solution de replie.
Mais seulement en dernière instance.

Dans le cas ar7007 pour i386, il est sensé fonctionner en utilisant le kmod-madwifi depuis livna-testing (disponible pour F-9 a présent).
