Je parle pour moi mais on dirait que tu as plusieures partitions primaires, ça ne semble pas très orthodoxe: mais bon! Moi, mon partitionnement date de dix ans environs, alors peut-être qu'il y a de nouvelles méthodes. 🙂

Ceci dit on s'éternise sur les partitions mais le pb n'est peut-être pas là, après tout.

Quant à cette histoire de superblocks dans le futur dont tu parles au début, tu n'aurais pas modifié la date système à un moment ou à un autre? Aussi ce serait intéressant qu'on ait un message d'erreurs complet et un post de ton /boot/grub/grub.conf?

Oui c'est exacte j'ai plusieurs partitions primaires (sda1,sda2,sda3) mais je croyais que l'on peut en avoir quatre maximum.

Pour le superblock je n'ai rien changé, j'ai juste fait la mise à jour complète suite à l'installation.
Je ne sais pas comment faire pour avoir le message d'erreur du kernel qui ne démarre pas ?

Après avoir fait une sauvegarde du grub.conf, je serais tenté de remplacer '/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 rhgb quiet', par '/dev/sda5' pour lui indiquer l'emplacement de /

Encore un petit point, l'intérêt d'avoir Windows au début du disque, c'est que si un jour ton MBR vient à être réinitialisé, Windows pourra démarrer normalement. Dans le cas présent, je crains que ce ne sera pas le cas sans un boot loader.

Sinon, ça n'a rien donné, avec /dev/sda5?
est ce que t'as deplacer tes partition disque?

Ca me paraît évident que si GRUB est installé sur le MBR et qu'une mise à jour de Windows par exemple l'écrase, ça m'étonnerait que le MBR arrive à trouver et à amorcer la partition Windows, là où elle est...

Non non le MBR original de windows sait trouver le fichier boot.ini du moment qu'il se trouve sur l'une des 4 partitions principales et sur le disque 0.
