Même problème. Cette fois ci l'écran clignotte entre vert et orange.
Je reboot dont sur l'ancien kernel après la génération d'un Xorg.conf tout neuf.

Ce qui est étrange, c'est que l'installation d'un driver vVidia n'a jamais fonctionné chez moi, ni sur FC5, FC6, F7, et avec deux cartes différentes et deux écrans différents. 🙁
Je confirme que les 5200 fonctionnent avec le kmod-nvidia et le kmod-nvidia-96xx.

Est ce que tu utilises le dernier kernel disponible ? et Est ce que tu as rebooté...(complètement)
Est ce que tu as mis à jours ton système (en particulier livna-config-display )
Oui, j'ai commencé par un clean all, update, dernier kernel... Et reboot total. Je n'ai jamais vu ce fichu logo nvidia.

Quel type de cable utilises tu pour ton écran ? dvi ou vga ?

Pour le kernel c'est le 2.6.23.1-21.fc7 .i686 pour lequel j'ai installé le kmod-nvidia-96xx
pour le kmod: -kmod-nvidia: unknown option
Mais je suis obligé de booter sur le kernel 2.6.23.1-10.fc7 sinon j'ai l'écran qui fait "boite de nuit" (ça clignotte de partout)

Ma carte graphique (une Geforce 420Go) n'a jamais marché avec les pilotes Nvidia 96xx sous Linux (Fedora et autres..), en effet l'écran s'éteignait lorsque le server X démarrait, ce qui semble être ton cas. Mais les actions décrites dans ce lien (seules les modifications de xorg.conf du post #42 sont nécessaires ainsi que le fichier .raw) m'ont permis d'avoir l'accélération 3D! http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=69836&p=2 Je pense que c'est une soltution a tester pour ton problème

Quand au fichier Xorg, j'y met la configuration de ma souris, pour profiter des 5 boutons. Et j'y ai mis les fréquences de rafraichissement de mon écran trouvé dans la doc (de l'écran)
J'ai désinstallé le kmod-nvidia-96xx afin de pouvoir booter sur le dernier kernel

c'est surement pas ca, mais est ce que ton ecran supporte bien la resolution "1680x1050" mentionnée à la fin de ton xorg.conf (dans la section display 16 bits, donc logiquement ca devrait pas servir...)

chez moi, la ligne

est dans la section screen, pas device. Je sais pas si ca marche aussi ou pas comme elle est placée chez toi...

Sinon, je m'etonne un peu de pas voir de sections "module" dans ton xorg.conf. La mienne contient ca, tu peux essayer de la rajouter peut etre...
