Pour le plantage lié à Firefox, essaie de lancer firefox en ligne de commande comme ça :
firefox > ~/Desktop/firefox.log 2>&1

il semble que ta carte graphique soit une PCI express, as tu configuré le bios de la machine en consequence ?
il y a une option PCI-E je crois me souvenir qu'il a fallu que je modifie quelque chose à ce niveau là pour que ce soit le
cpu de ma carte graphique qui fonctionne et pas celui de la carte mère...
peut être une piste ....

Chacual, la commande ne fonctionne pas. Et firefox ne veut même plus se lancer, il y aurait déjà un processus existant mais on ne le trouve pas avec la commande top...
De plus, avec cette commande on s'apperçoit que la partition swap reste innactive...
une idée?

pour les traces Firefox, lance le avec l'option -jsconsole.
Sinon, pour isoler le pb (extensions, thèmes, etc ..) , tu peux le lancer avec l'option -safe-mode afin de voir d'ou vient le pb.

Là j'ai réussi à le lancer, je ne sais pas s'il continuera de planter car là je ne peux pas vraiment le tester... (j'ai fais un firefox -safe-mode et j'ai coché presque tout sauf les bookmark)
Pour la carte graphique, on ne sait pas trop comment faire... on a essayé de l'installer mais à priori, elle n'est toujorus pas reconnu.
Que pensez du swap qui semble être inactif?
avec la commande top, je vois que le swap est toujours à 0 donc jamais utilisé...

Quels plugins as-tu installé pour le rendre mécontent de la sorte ??
Peux-tu décrire plus précisément ce qui se passe quand il crashe (Fermeture violente de la fenêtre uniquement ?, "Segmentation fault" qui apparaît quand Firefox lancé depuis la console ?, plantage complet du système ?)
Ton système est-il en 32 bits ou 64 bits ? Et Firefox ?
3) Le SWAP
Au boot, lorsque le swap démarre, tout se passe bien ?
Qu'est-ce qui te fait dire que le swap n'est pas utilisé (à part ce que tu vois avec top) ?
Tu peux peut-être lancer l'applet de monitoring et regarder comment évolue ton swap... si il évolue !
Désolé de ne pas avoir de réponse claire à te proposer mais l'explication de tes problèmes reste assez floue et il y en a tellement que j'ai l'impression qu'on se mélange les pinceaux...

Par défaut si on fait l'installation en français, il met les noms de dossier en français.Pour le swap, si tu as assez de RAM c'est normal qu'il ne soit pas utilisé.
