Bonjour, Une post de plus sur une connexion Wifi.. J'ai installe une carte PCI Netgear WPN311. Il me semble c'est un chipset Athero. J'ai donc installer madwifi comme l'indique la doc Je ne suis pas sur que tout a bien fonctionner, j'ai effectuer la commande [code]echo "DEVICE=ath0" > /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ath0[/code] pour que le materiel Wifi apparaisse dans system-network-manager Maintenant j'ai trop de choix present dans l'onglet Device ??? lequel est bon ? ( l'onglet Device n'est pas l'onglet Materiel, c'est le premier ) Un s'appelle wifi0 ( de type ethernet ) et l'autre ath0 de type Wireless?? Par contre j'ai bien 2 cartes presente dans Hardware (Materiel) (Une ethernet eth0 et Atheros Communication wifi0 ) Est ce que mon probleme a a voir avec les alias ?? Bonjour, Une petite question d'ordre generale. Dans mon cas, quelle est le nom de mon module ( ath0 ath_pci wlan wifi0.... ) ??? A quoi corresponde tous ces noms. ( et puis c'est quoi un module en fait ) :-( J'y arriverais un jour...

Le nom de ton module est ath_pci! L'alias vers ton pérphérique, une fois le module chargé, est ath0. C'est celui ci que tu dois utilisé pour définir ta connexion (c'est d'ailleurs le seul qui te donne une réponse avec iwconfig ;-) ) Si ta freebox est configuré en WPA: - soit tu passes en WEP si tu veux utiliser system-config-network, - soit tu restes en WPA et tu utilises WPA_supplicant ou NetworkManager pour te connecter (avec NetworkManager il faut absolument que les adresses IP soient donnée par le DHCP de la freebox ;-) mais c'est certainement la solution la plus facile) Je te renvoie vers ces pages: [url]http://doc.fedora-fr.org/Wifi-Installation_du_chipset_Atheros-madwifi[/url] [url]http://doc.fedora-fr.org/Wifi#Lancer_NetworkManager_.28automatique.29[/url]

L'onglet Device montre bien eth0 mais l'onglet Harware rempli wifi0 dans la colonne Device sans que je puisse changer la valeur lorsque je click sur edit J'ai lance [code]service NetworkManagerDispatcher start[/code] Des ok apparaissent mais aucune fenetre ne s'ouvre ??? Je n'arrive tjs pas a activer le Wifi

Dans [code]system-config-network[/code] , décoche toutes les connexion pour qu'elles ne soient pas lancée au démarrage, redémarre ton ordi et ensuite lance NetworkManager par: [code]service NetworkManager start Service NetworkManagerDispatcher Start[/code] ! Si il n'y a toujours pas de wifi, donne le résultat de la commande [code]iwlist scan[/code] !

Tu doit avoir dans le tray une nouvelle icône. En cliquant dessus, tout les réseaux disponibles (câblés ou wifi) doivent apparaitre. Clique simplement sur le réseau auquel tu veux te connecter. Pour un réseau wifi, il te demandera de fournir la clef (WEP ou WPA)! Par contre NetworkManager choisis toujours la meilleure connexion disponible et donc, si il y un câble réseaux de brancher (voire un USB), il prendra celui ci!

Pas de nouvel icone :-( en bas a gauche de mon ordi. On fouillant le forum, je ce matin installé Knetworkmanager ( attention au K )puis copié l'icone dans Konqueror Autostart pour que ce service commence a chaque demarrage de la machine. L'icone Knetworkmanager etait toujours barre e n rouge. Un click droit dessus indiquait Service NOt Running. Je l'ai virer de mon Autostart.

J'ai installé knetworkmanager et j'ai switché de Gnome à KDE (mais sans redémarrer)! Une fois dans KDE, j'ai démarré sans problème knetworkmanager... 😐

Je vais essayé de redémarré et d'ouvrir la connexion directement knetworkmanager pour voir...

J'ai trouve surle site de www.kde-apps.org une version de Knetworkmanager. J'ai telecharger et detarer le packet. Le Readme stipule

NetworkManager 0.6.2 is required to build this version of KNetworkManager.

Or j'ai

NetworkManager-0.6.4-5.fc6

Comment puis-je savoir si le Knetwormanager que j'ai installer par Yum est compatible avec mon networmanager ??

Laisse tomber les compilations, ton problèmes ne vient pas de ta version de knetworkmanager mais plutôt d'une librairie non installé mais je ne sais pas laquelle, certainement un problème avec D-BUS et/ou KWallet (correspondant au gestionnaire de trousseaux sous Gnome).

Pour info, j'arrive à me connecter sous KDE avec knetworkmanager :-P

J'essaye de trouver des infos la dessus...

J'ai installer FC6 il y a environ 6 mois. Je suis " bloqué " sous windows ce soir ( mon micro ne marche sous FC6... ). Je ne peux pas lancer de commande mais mon noyau est recent
