clé USB Wifi DELL Wireless 1450 retour

Bonjour,

Je n'arrive toujours pas a installer les drivers de ma carte USB wifi ...
J'avais essayer il y a qquelque temps la methode wlan-ng sans succes. Maintenant j'essai ndiswrapper. en suuivant a la lettre la doc.
Instalation Ndiswrapper

Mon system freeze apres lorsque j'effectue la commande

modprobe ndiswrapper

(comme indique sur la doc ) Il semble qu'il faille reessayer avec les drivers win 2k. Mais je les trouve ou ces drivers ?? Jusqu'a present j'ai copier un fichier DRIVER du cd d'installation sur mon disque ou ce trouve

DELLNIC.inf
PISMA02.sys

La liste de sourceforge.net indique ceci pour mon materiel :

Je n'ai toujours pas bien compris qu'elle chipset j'avais. Un truc etrange est que la commande

modprobe ndiswrapper

a fonctionné la premiere fois et j'ai meme pu faire iwconfig. C'est lorsque j'ai lancé

su -
# chkconfig --level 345 NetworkManager on
# chkconfig --level 345 NetworkManagerManager on
# service NetworkManager restart
# service NetworkManagerManager restart

Que mon systeme a planter.

Maintenant il plante tout le temps !!!

Si ça bloque à l'utilisation de Network Manager, désactive ce dernier :

# chkconfig --level 345 NetworkManager off
# chkconfig --level 345 NetworkManagerManager off

On verra que faire ensuite...

Dans un premier temps, sondons ton environnement ; que renvoient les commandes suivantes ?

Le tutoriel suggère des pilotes win 2k en cas d'échec dans la mesure où ils existent.
À moins de nouvelles révélations, on essaiera de récupérer la dernière version des pilotes XP.
Avant cela, pourrais-tu poster le contenu du fichier /var/log/messages, en ne gardant que les lignes inscrites peu avant l'exécution de modprobe et le plantage (et les suivantes aussi, évidemment).

Ce cas ressemble fort à un autre problème, récemment évoqué sur le forum, quoique concernant une autre carte.
Ne souhaitant pas répeter la même démarche pour diagnostic que pour l'autre problème (menée d'une main de maître par Refuznik), je te propose donc de tester cette solution :

Néanmoins, avant cela, pourrais-tu me dire si tu utilises un portable ou pas ?

Merci de ton aide. Avant de regarder le topic que tu mentionnes, je tiens a t'informer que je n'utilise PAS un portable. C'est un Dell Dimension avec cette carte Wifi USB.

J'ai lu avec attention la solution. Simplement je n'ai pas bien compris ce que je dois faire :
1) desactiver le Plug n Play a partir du BIOS
2) desactiver ip6tables et iptable dans system-config-services
3) editer les fichier /boot/grub/grub.conf
Quellles solutions je dois prendre ( je n'i jamais touche a aucun de ces trucs )
Comment on édite le grub.conf ?

Non, testons directement la solution miracle.
Ajoute simplement « acpi=off » à la ligne « kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.20-1.2962.fc6 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet » dans le fichier /boot/grub.conf, puis redémarre ta machine sur le dernier noyau (le 2.6.20-1.2962.fc6).

Brûler un cierge ne serait pas du luxe ^^.

En fait cela ne marche pas tout a fait aussi bien que prévu. Je reprend les étapes de la doc et ma machine se freeze 🙁
Un autre probleme est arrivé : J'ai updaté mon kernel (cf doc ) et maintenant mes drivers N-vidia ne marche plus !!
Je reste donc avec l'ancien kernel ( avec le nouveau, le SO ne detecte pas ma carte ethernet ?? le bonheur)

Bon 10 reboots sauvage plus tard je ne sais plus quoi faire. Parfois cela freeze apres

 mobprobe ndiswrapper

parfois je peux aller un peu plus loin et cela freeze lorsque je lance

service NetworkManagerDispatcher restart

dans ce cas un FAILED rouge aparait pour une des opérations

J'ai édité ainsi mon /boot/grub/grub.conf

Là je dois t'avouer que je sèche un peu.
Quand tu as mis le noyau à jour, ndiswrapper l'a-t-il été aussi ?

$ rpm -qa *ndiswrapper*

Pour ta carte graphique :

En ce qui concerne ma clé USB, je ne sais pas quoi faire. Je vais finir par acheter une carte WIFI interne. Peux tu me confirmer que FC6 va la detecter sans probleme ? Existe t il une liste des cartes compatibles ?
Si tu entends parler de quelques choses en attendant ou si tu penses que utioliser les drivers win2k ( comme indiqué dans la doc peux marcher...
