[Ecran] Problème de résolution

Bonsoir,
Je pense que le problème a été déjà abordé mais je n'ai rien trouvé.

Je possède un écran Hanns HC194D, je suis passé récemment à Fedora Core 5 (pas la 6 car il n'y a pas encore un super support pour les novices comme fedorafaq.free.fr). Et je souhaitais avoir un système complet rapidement.

Je possède une carte Nvidia Geforce 5700 et un écran 19 pouces HannsG HC194D.

Cet écran sous Windows fonctionne en 1600x1200 sans souci (en 60 Hz).
Il est parfaitement reconnu sous Linux, sauf que je plafonne en 1280x960 (même pas 1024...).

Voici une copie de mon xorg.conf. J'ai installé le package kmod-nvidia (comme recommandé sur fedorafaq.free.fr).

J'ai peut être un élément de réponse que je ne peux expliquer... j'ai trouvé sur le net que mon écran était donné pour 1280x1024 ... or sous Windows aucun souci il fonctionne en 1600x1200, bref je comprends pas.

Les fréquences de l'écran sont bonnes. Et j'ai ajouté à la main 1600x1200 mais ce n'est pas reconnu sous le centre de config KDE

Enlevez les fréquences de l'écran et laissez le dpms rapporter par lui-même les fréquences.

Si çà ne fonctionne pas après cette modif., ajoutez le bon modeline pour 1600x1200 à une fréquence de 60hz.

Pour déterminer le modeline, ouvrez une fenêtre de commandes et faites la commande gtf 1600 1200 60. ce qui vous donnera le modeline à insérer dans le fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

J'ai une résolution de 1600x1200 dans le menu de KDE/Système/Affichage... mais il n'en est rien. Je suis toujours en 1280x1024 64KHz 60.1Hz sur mon écran (menu de l'écran) et la résolution réelle n'a pas bougée (même place des icones, mêmes tailles, ...).

Donc je ne suis pas en 1600x1200. Que puis je faire ?

Dois je supprimer les lignes :

Ainsi que le dpms pour un modeline ?

Tente en commentant la ligne modeline

et dans la section screen sous-sestion display de commenter tout ce qui n'est pas la résolution que tu souhaites pour ne laisser que

Modes "1600x1200"

sans autre possibilité de choix
n'oublie pas que tu as deux lignes

Et essaie. Sans certitude. Si ca ne fonctionne pas, on regardera les erreurs éventuelles dans le fichier log

Bah non toujours pas.
L'écran m'indique sur son menu 1280x1024.
C'est à ne rien y comprendre... surtout si en théorie il doit respecter le Xorg.conf où je ne donne que le 1600x1200.

Apparemment il ne trouve rien de valide pour le mode demandé, soit 1600x1200, et c'est bien le driver NVIDIA qui répond ça.

Bonjour,

Je rencontre le même pb de résolution avec ma carte NVIDIA GEforce Go 7300 et Fedora FC5. Malgrés divers essais d'installation des pilotes Nvidia sur mon Asus A6KM-Q007H AMD Turion 64 1.8 GHz / 1024 Mo de RAM je n'ai accès qu'à 2 résolutions d'écran 800x600 et 640x480 alors que sur XP il fonctionne en 1280x800 sans problème.
Après observation de mon fichier log (/var/log), il apparait:

Ce problème de modes invalides révéle un souci avec le driver installé. Où trouve-t-on les drivers génériques qui semblent offrir plus de souplesse sur les résolutions?
Comment les installe-t-on? avec YUM?
