Impossible de changé la résolution

Je viens d'avoir un nouveau portable et d'y installer une fedora core 6.
Mon problème:

La résolution semble bloquée à 1024x768 alors que mon portable roule normallement en 1280x800.

J'ai essayé par /systême/Administration/Affichage de sélection un écran générique à 1280x800 mais après avoir redémarrer le serveur graphique, c'est toujours pareil.

J'ai également tenté de commenter les fréquences dans le xorg.conf pour laisser ddc se charger de ça mais il refuse encore...

Il s'agit d'un portable Asus F3F, Core duo, carte vidéo intel 945G.

Bonjour,

une solution simple, mais qui ne fonctionne pas encore a tout les coups mais ca vaut le cout de tenter.
Dans ton xorg.conf, modifie ceci :
Driver "i810"

Par :
Driver "intel"

J ai fait le test sur 3 systemes, 2 on fonctionnes sans soucis le 3eme n a rien voulu savoir.

Par contre, hier en cherchant sur le forum anglais et google, je suis tombé sur une solution qui a très bien fonctionner.

Je donne les détails ici pour les suivant.

Il s'agit d'installer le paquet 915resolution et de changer les résolution possible de la carte en "flashant" sa Ram.

Ce paquet n'existe pas pour FC6. J'ai donc télécharger le rpm de FC5 à partir des dépôts extra/src et j'ai reconstruit le rpm avec rpmbuild --rebuild nom_du_paquet.rpm.

Ensuite comme détailler dans le README de 915resolution, on recherche un secteur libre comme ceci:

/usr/sbin/915resolution -l

On choisie une résolution qui n'est pas utiliser sur notre systême et on modifie ce secteur pour en y placant notre nouvelle résolution (dans mon cas 1280x800) comme ceci:

/usr/sbin/915resolution secteur résolution profondeur

Exemple chez moi:

/usr/sbin/915resolution 38 1280 800 24

Ensuite, on redémarre X.

Comme cette manoeuvre n'est pas permanente, il faut l'effectuer avant chaque démarrage du serveur graphique.
Comme l'auteur le suggérais, j'ai modifié le fichier /etc/rc.local et j'y ai ajouté ma ligne plus haut.

Ça fonctionne super! :pint:

L'auteur dit sur ça page que le paquet devrait être inclus dans les prochaine version de xorg. Un simple paramêtre permettra alors de changer le tout.

oui c est aussi une solution qui est valable mais un peu plus complique, j utilise la meme solution pour une Intel 855.
