Dans nouveau reseau sans fil je peux choisir ma carte, ca s'active, mais toujours pas de réseau, faut que je trouve la bonne config, mais je trouve pas ou mettre la clé wep pour le moment, enfin en esperant que je sois sur la bonne voie...

Ce n'est plus qu'un probleme de configuration reseau...

Dans ma config réseau, j'ai donc eth0 (ethernet), j'ai viré eth1 qui etait la carte sans fil mais créé en ethernet(bizarre), créé la vrai sans fil qui est eth1.
La carte est desormais activé, mais toujours rien.
Le ping sur moi meme fonctionne, mais il ne ping pas le routeur...
Que te renvoie :

PS :
Si tu vois apparaitre eth1 comme reponse a iwconfig alors tu peux essayer de scanner le reseau :
# iwlist eth1 scan

Tu devrais voir ta base...

iwonfig me donne eth1 avec quelque chose.

Et "iwlist eth1 scan" me vois ma base sans problème, pourtant je n'arrive pas a la pingué.

Dans les parametre de la connect sans fil a la fin il y a "clé (utiliser 0x pour hex)", je n'ai pas trop compris dans le tuto comment la remplir.
De plus la clé wep je ne vois pas ou la mettre...

Sinon j'ai mis :

mode : ad-hock ou auto (ai testé les deux, je sais pas trop lequel choisir : réseau freebox qui fait routeur wifi)
nom réseau "maison" ai testé avec auto mais pareil
canal 4 (le miens)
tx de transmission 54Mb/s
clé : ??

J'en ai presque fini avec mon probleme. Juste quelques details pour vous (je pense).

Quand je demarre le pc, ma connection wifi ne s'active pas automatiquement bien que se soit coché dans les modification du peripherique.

Sinon en mettant :

mode : géré
ssid : Maison
canal : grisé
tx transmission : grisé
clé : rien

Est ce que cela est bien fait ? Ou dans le "mode" il y a une autre solution ?


et en tapant dans la console : iwconfig eth1 key <ma clé wep> open (ou restricted, ca fonctionne avec les deux, mais je n'ai pas trouvé la difference)

Le wifi fonctionne, par contre je dois taper ca a chaque fois, comment faire pour qu'il reste sur le pc ?

Ou c'est encore autre chose ?

Et sinon pour ma config du dessus, mettre "géré, clé (aucune) c'est bien? ou on peut ameliorer ?

Par contre je n'arrive pas a saisir la nuance entre le open ou restricted pour la clé wep...

profite en aussi pour installer knetworkmanager
# yum install knetworkmanager

Ca te permet d'avoir un petit icone sous KDE (pas la peine sous gnome) qui marche avec NetworkManager qui te permet par un clic de switcher d'un wifi a un autre...

open : pas de cle wep
restricted : cle wep
pour ta config, le mode c'est bien gere (managed in engish). Sans cle, c'est open.

J'ai fais ce que t'as dis, mais quand je clique sur l'icone knetworkmanager rien ne se passe.

bah moi jutilise wifi radar
j'ai trouve que ca marche mieux (en tout cas sous FC5 car la sous FC6 j'ai direct utilise wifi radar)
J'aimerais bien reussir a faire ca quand meme (voir message précédent) mais bon doit y avoir un probleme quelque part.

Il faut cliquer sur l'icone avec la touche de droite de la souris puis selectionner ton reseau wifi.
