Il indique que .xinitrc est un script shell, mais je n'ai pas trouvé de .xinitrc chez moi.
Par contre il y a un fichier (script shell) appelé xinitrc dans /etc/X11/xinit, qui contient ceci :

Ce que je ferais, pour tester, c'est de copier ce fichier dans mon home, en le renommant .xinitrc, et j'y ajouterais à la fin les lignes que tu indiques, ce qui donnerais ceci :

Je ne sais pas du tout si cela peut fonctionner, mais c'est à tenter, de toute façon tu as un écran noir, donc cela ne peut pas être pire.
Et si cela ne fonctionne pas tu n'auras qu'à supprimer le fichier que tu as créé.
