Probleme Carte graphique / carte son / ports USB sous Fedora 13

Bonjour,

J'essaie tant bien que mal de faire fonctionner Fedora 13 sur mon PC.

Toshiba Satellite A500
Carte graphique : nVidia GT330m
Carte son : nVidia High Definition Controller (je n'en sais pas plus)

Après avoir passé plusieurs jours avant de réussir à passer la phase d'installation, ceci dû à mon écran s'arrêtant de fonctionner dès le chargement de l'OS en vue de lancer línstallation.
J'ai finalement réussi en ajoutant l'option d'installation "nomodeset".

J'ai donc pu installer Fedora etc...

Depuis, quand je lance l'OS :
1 - Mes ports USB ne fonctionnent pas (essai avec 2 souris USB et une clé USB).
2 - On me signale que ma carte son n'est pas supportée (je ne me souviens plus du message exact, cette erreur n'étant signalée qu'au lancement du système.
3 - Ma carte graphique n'est pas reconnue / pas détectée.
4 - Mon touchpad ne fonctionne pas.

J'ai entendu dire qu'utiliser nomodeset avec une carte graphique nVidia peut empêcher certains autres drivers d'être installés...

J'ai essayé ensuite de mettre à jour le pilote de ma carte graphique, mais le programme de nVidia me renvoie l'erreur "could not find kernel source tree". Impossible pourtant de trouver le package 'kernel-source' avec yum.

Cela fait beaucoup de problèmes, mais comme vous voyez, j'ai déjà passé beaucoup de temps à parcourir les forums sur le sujet, sans succès.

Bonjour: que donne" lspci " en console?? pour voir comment est reconnu ton matos...
ensuite as tu  installé le dépot "rpm-fusion"  cf:http://doc.fedora-fr.org/wiki/D%C3%A9p% … RPM_Fusion,
et fais les mises à jour??
Pour tes ports usb, une fois branché tes périph usb regardes le résultat de "lsusb" ...

Mon touchpad fonctionne depuis. Le bouton d'activation n'etait pas reconnu par Fedora, mais l'activer sous Windows puis passer a Fedora a fonctionne.

J'ai configure les depots RPMFusion.
Pour ma carte graphique, j'ai ensuite utilise la commande "yum install kmod-nvidia" puis modifie le grub.conf en ajoutant l'option "rdblacklist=nouveau" pour desactiver l'utilisation de nouveau comme pilot graphique.
Cela ne marche toujours pas sur le premier kernel.
Sur le plus recent, le chargement n'en finit pas.

Bonjour: apparemment si tes périphs sont branchés, ils ne sont pas reconnus... peux tu nous faire voir le résultat de "$ dmesg"  en console...pour voir ce qu'il y aurait comme problèmes au démarrage
mais si tu veux le fond de ma pensée, tu devrais réinstaller à partir d'un cd live (KDE ou Gnome ...)car à priori, tu ne devrais pas avoir de problème de pilotes car ton matos est classique et devrait être reconnu...surtout l'usb (j'ai les mêmes que toi:

et aucun problème!) Donc si ton install est toute fraiche , n'hésite pas à réinstaller pour partir sur une base saine.. essaies déjà de démarrer sur un live cd pour voir si tu as ce problème de ports USB avant de réinstaller...
P.S: mon chipset son: Audio device: Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset High Definition Audio (rev 05) est aussi le même que le tien et aucun problème!

je ne peux pas envoyer les resultats de 'dmesg' tout de suite, parce que suite a une upgrade de mon BIOS, Fedora ne se charge plus.

Par contre, pour le LiveCD ou liveUSB, le probleme ne doit pas venir de la.
Je l'ai installe de cette facon (2 fois, maintenant)
Cela ne pourrait pas venir du fait qu'un nomodeset avec une carte nVidia peut empecher certain drivers de s'activer ?

J'envoie les resultats de la commande des que j'arrive a lancer Fedora.

Voila, j'ai resolu mon probleme et reboote sur FC13 :D

J'ai pas trop compris d'ou venait le probleme, mais ajouter l'option apci=off au demarrage a fonctionne.

J'ai aussi amene mes ports USB a fonctionner. Ca aussi c'etait au niveau du BIOS. Il fallait desactiver la reconnaissance automatique des peripheriques USB, qui entrait en conflit avec le kernel.

ah, ok ^^ j'ai "l'habitude" des scripts shell, donc je croyais que le $ etait pour une variable d'environnement... Je suis con, c'etait pas en majuscule...

Donc le Touchpad fonctionne apres l'avoir active sous Windows. C'est le bouton d'activation du Touchpad qui ne repond pas sous FC13.
Le son fonctionne, en fait. FC ne trouve pas le driver, mais il en utilise un generique et ca passe bien.

Ne reste que la carte graphique et la carte Wifi (que j'ai peut-etre oublie de mentionner).

Je suis en train de compiler une version plus avancee du noyau (2.6.35) pour avoir les sources qui sont necessaires a l'installation du driver nVidia.
Plus ou moins meme chose pour ma carte wifi Realtek RTL8191SE qui necessite un lien vers une version du kernel pour lancer l'install.

N'ayant pas les sources de mon kernel, j'ai donc commence a compiler un nouveau que j'ai telecharge sur www.kernel.org

Je reste ouvert a toute suggestion qui n'implique pas de jouer les chirurgiens avec l'OS ;)

Bonsoir: les noyaux sur kernel.org ne sont pas les même que ceux utilisés sur Fedora: de nombreux patch et optimisations sont insérés dans le noyau Fedora mais rien ne t'empêche d'installer un noyau vanilla mais ce ne serait plus une F13 ! tu as déjà régler plusieurs problèmes.... continues pour les autres car je suis sur que tu y arriveras sans avoir besoin d'aller trifouiller le kernel mais si c'est ça que tu veux, vas voir cette page d'abord !!

J'ai installe le noyau 2.6.35... Je n'avais pas pense que ce ne serait pas adapte... La compilation a bien marche et je boot depuis sur ce nouveau kernel.
Cela m'a permis de resoudre le probleme de ma carte wifi, en installant les drivers mis a disposition par Realtek pour Linux, mais je n'ai toujours pas reussi a installer ma carte graphique.

Pour ce qui est de yum et RPMFusion, j'ai effectue les upgrades et installe le package kmod-nvidia, mais cela n'a rien change.
Il parait que je devrais etre capable de faire fonctionner ma carte graphique avec le driver "nouveau", mais je me perds dans les procedes a metter en oeuvre.
Du coup, j'essayais d'installer le driver nVidia que j'avais trouve sur leur site, mais l'installation ne marchait pas.

Ma carte graphique est une nVidia GeForce GT330M - de la serie 300M. Elle est recente.

Je vous tiens au courant des que j'arriev a relance Fedora (j'ai ecrit une commande qui autorise une pile a se remplir pour que le driver "nouveau" se lance, mais depuis, ca ne boot plus ;)... quel boulet :D)

J'ai installe kmod-nvidia en utilisant yum. Pas de changement d'affichage, sauf que cela me permet peut-etre de booter sans l'option "nomodeset".

Pas d'ecran noir, mais pas de possibilite de configuration de mon affichage non plus. On me propose 800*600 et 640*320 (J'ai un ecran en 16/10e, donc c'est pas la joie...)

J'ai essaye de lancer nvidia-settings, qui me dit :

You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server.

J'ai lance nvidia-xconfig, mais apres cela, nvidia-settings me renvoie la meme erreur.

Sinon, j'ai reussi a booter sur ma session de nouveau (Il fallait installer un patch sur le fichier i2c-omap.c. J'avoue ne pas avoir trop compris ce que ca changeait -_- )

Quels logs tu voudrais voir ? Je ne sais pas ou regarder...

quand tu lance nvidia-xconfig il faut voir les modifs qu'il apporte dans le fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf (je crois que c'est le but de cette commande). De plus il faut relancer X.
Je pense que tu perds ton temps à compiler un kernel, surtout si tu penses que c'est le seul moyen d'installer les pilotes nvidia.

Quand tu installes les pilotes nvidia, ceux-ci se présente sous la forme de bibliothèques pour X11, et d'un module pour le kernel. Donc première verif à faire après le reboot:

lsmod|grep nvidia

. Si tu n'a aucun pilote nvidia, c'est pas la peine de chercher plus loin, le paquet kmod-nvidia est mal installé ou tu n'es pas sur le bon kernel fedora.
Si tu as bien le module nvidia chargé au boot, et que ça ne passe toujours pas, c'est un probleme avec Xorg. Donc là les logs sont dans /var/log/Xorg.0.conf. Dans ce fichier tu pourras déjà vérifier qu'il tente bien d'utiliser le pilote Xorg NVIDIA.

As tu pensé aussi à modifier grub.conf pour blacklisté le pilote nouveau. Je suis pas sur que ça soit toujours d'actualité, http://rpmfusion.org/Howto/nVidia#head- … d7e37c9e2b mais c'est toujours précisé dans la doc.

Donc ce que je ferrais à ta place, je booterais sur le dernier kernel fedora officiel, et je lancerais un

yum install akmod-nvidia

. Je regarderais le contenu de /etc/grub.conf comme dans la doc citée plus haut avant de rebooter. Ensuite le lsmod pour voir si ya le pilote nvidia, et je copie/collerais le contenu de /var/log/Xorg.0.log ainsi que /etc/X11/xorg.conf (s'il existe).

J'ai cru voir une autre piste sinon, avec mon ami google, concernant ta carte video qui ne saurait pas lire les info de l'ecran. Mais faute à la carte ou à l'écran je sais pas donc c'est peut etre pas un probleme générique (ça concernait un portable sony).

Apres reboot, le changement par xconfig a porte ses fruits : Bel affichage et utilisation des pilotes.

J'ai un peu touche a tout pour en arriver la : installation des pilotes, modifications de xorg.conf,  blacklist du pilote nouveau, re-generation de initrd.

Je pense que le pilote fonctionne correctement.
Mais j'ai un autre probleme -_-'

Lors du chargement de Fedora, je vois : Checking for module nvidia.ko: [FAILED]
Puis Enabling the nvidia driver: /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions: line 520: 1248 Segmentation fault "$@"

Ce qui est etrange, c'est que j'ai trouve une methode sur internet pour resoudre ca : effectuer un "yum remove kmod-nvidia*"
Apres cela, un driver est retrouve lors du reboot.
Le probleme est que ca ne marche tant que je reboot. Des que j'essaie d'eteindre completement mon ordinateur (shutdown -P ou par KDE, meme combat) Au lancement d'apres, le probleme aura reapparu, sans que le fichier xorg.conf n'ait ete modifie.

Donc tu vois, t'es sur le kernel fedora, avec le pilote nvidia qui fonctionne, comme quoi :)
Pour ton dernier problème c'est un peu bizare, malgré l'erreur le pilote nvidia est chargé? X fonctionne?


Linux, ya moins bien, mais c'est plus chèr!!!

Oui, t'avais raison ! Ca ne servait a rien de recompiler un kernel... Enfin, ca m'a appris des choses :D

En fait, apres ce probleme, il verifie quelques trucs encore, marque [OK] a cote, puis s'arrete. Il ne finit jamais de charger l'OS. J'aurais tendance a penser que X ne fonctionne pas non plus, mais ce n'est pas forcement vrai...


EDIT : Ca a l'air de marcher maintenant. Il semble qu'il suffisait d'enlever l'option "nouveau.modeset=0" de mon grub.conf pour que ca charge normalement en trouvant bien les drivers...

Voila ! Je n'ai quasiment plus rien a changer pour avoir un ordinateur completement fonctionnel. (Juste une histoire de faire fonctionner les boutons de mon laptop Tashiba A500, mais c'est accessoire)

Euh, j'ai parle trop vite !

Ca plante toujours quand je lance le kernel 2.6.33.6-147.2.4.fcx86_64 (ou un truc du genre.)
Pour refaire marche ma session, je dois booter sur le kernel 2.6.33.3-85[...] qui se lance mais qui ne trouve pas les pilotes nvidia, puis rebooter mon PC.
Ensuite, le chargement passe comme une une lettre a la poste.

Bizarre...
Est-ce que vous auriez des suggestions a ce sujets ? des logs que je pourrais attacher qui pourraient etre revelateurs ?

Désolé Nocteo mais je ne vais pas répondre à ta question, parce que j'en ai une de question.

Installer kmod et akmod, ça ne pose pas de problème ? Je ne connais pas les conflits que peux poser ce genre d'installation. Mais par exemple son pc ne marche pas avec le noyau officiel du moment, qui correspondait au noyau supportant kmod-nvidia, or le noyau de l'installation lui marche. Il n'y a pas de conflit entre une trace de l'installation de kmod sur le processus de akmod. Ce sont des questions.

Sinon pour savoir ce qu'il se passe au démarrage essai de nous donner le dmesg qui correspond au lancement foireux de ton pc (avant le reboot).
Pour limiter le trie, fait une copie de celui-ci si tu as accés à une fenêtre tty.
La commande est :

$ dmesg > boot.messages

Conserve ce fichier pour avoir une trace du démarrage foireux, puis après ton reboot vient nous le copier ici. Il sera dans tes fichiers personnels sans extension.
