Salut à toutes et à tous,

Je viens de mettre à jour le pilote "radeon" (xorg-x11-drv-ati) RPMFusion ce matin sur mon PC de salon.
Il y avait 23 ou 24 mises à jour avec celui-ci.
A la fin de l'installation de celles-ci une icône de Packagekit me conseille de redémarrer...

J'aurais pas dû !

Bon :
CG Ati 9600SE sur écran TV HD (1920x1080) connectée en mode PC (DVI).

- avec le pilote "vesa" OK mais en 1024x768.

- avec le "radeon" KO : plantage brutal et total au moment de charger l'écran de connexion. Plus de souris, plus de clavier.

- avec le "proprio" (oui! je sais c'est pas bien...mais c'est pour tester)... presqu'OK !!!
- j'arrive jusqu'à l'écran de connexion sans problème
- mais là, j'ai l'impression d'être abonné à Fedora10 Canal+ mais pas aux bonnes heures :



- J'ai regardé dans Xorg.0.log les EE et WW mais sans grand succès, juste un problème mineur de clavier sans conséquences.

- J'ai retenté un aticonfig --initial -f -resolution0,1920x1080 mais sans succès non plus.

- J'ai relu la doc 🙂

- J'ai recherché dans le forum 🙂

- J'ai Googlelisé 🙂


Moralité je vais essayer de réinstaller la version précédente du pilote "radeon" MAIS est-ce la bonne solution ?
Ou bien il doit y avoir une option du aticonfig qui me passe à côté mais je ne vois pas 🙁

Primo aticonfig c'est avec le pilote proprio!

Ensuite c'est radeon ou radeonhd?
Que dit ton xorg.conf dans /etc/X11/?

Je rappel qu'il y a un sujet épinglé pour les cartes graphique ATI/AMD!
J'ai bien testé aticonfig avec le pilote proprio.

Pour la 9600se c'est bien le pilote radeon (selon le man radeon : RV350 Radeon 9600PRO/9600SE/9600/9550, M10/M11, FireGL T2).

Encore une fois je déconseille vivement l'utilisation du pilote proprio pour le moment, sans compter que le pilote libre gère bien les R3xx alors pourquoi vouloir le proprio?

Désinstalle le pilote proprio pour repartir sur des pilotes libre sains!
Et la résolution 1920x1080 est vraiment déconseillé sur ce type de carte! elles ne sont pas assez puissante pour gérer une résolution aussi grande! et cela ressemble à un problème de rafraichissement d'écran!

Je rappel que si tu ne mets pas les services fglrx et atieventsd non actif ou que tu ne les désinstalles pas, le xorg.conf sera toujours régénérer avec fglrx (pilote proprio)!

Et le R3xx ne fait pas la HD! donc ...

Bon, j'ai remis le pilote radeon d'origine (du DVD) et évidemment ça (re)marche.
J'attendrais la mise à jour suivante....😉

La documentation sur l'installation du pilote fglrx avec le dépot de Kwizart a résolu tous mes problèmes...

Un grand MERCI à Kwizart, Vindicators, RemiCollet, SylvainReault et tous ceux qui sont "derrière" cet énorme boulot..... 😉

Je suis encore (et toujours) épaté par ce que peut faire (ou ne pas faire) un pilote matériel.
Toutes les fonctions accédant à l'accélaration graphique provoquaient des plantages sur ma configuration (Kwin, option "Bureau" de "Configuration du système", etc...).
J'étais presque sur le point de réinstaller Fedora 9 respin avant d'avoir lu et appliqué cette nouvelle documentation...

j'ai juste une question pour Did: tu es sous fc 10 64 bits.

pour ma part :uname -r => 2.6.27.9-159.fc10.x86_64.

J'ai du raté quelque chose car le tuto "http://doc.fedora-fr.org/wiki/Carte_ATI_:_installation_des_pilotes" n'a pas fonctionné.
Je pense que l' erreur est venue de "mkinitrd -f /boot/initrd-$(uname -r).img $(uname -r)" .
Je suis en LVM et apres cette commande plus possible de demarrer.

Je suis débutant !!

J'étais sous F10 32bits.
Je dis j'étais car le problème est que j'ai résolu la partie graphique, mais j'ai eu d'autres soucis (KDE, firefox, etc...) et je suis donc reparti sur une nouvelle installation.

J'ai remarqué aussi que la doc d'installation du pilote a été modifiée depuis ... J'avais remarqué 2, 3 erreurs dedans au niveau des chemins d'accès.
Il suffisait de retirer "/boot" au niveau de l'image, je crois... me rappelle plus..:-?

Donc il vaudrait mieux que tu vois dans le sujet ATI/AMD dans le forum...
De mémoire j'avais fait des modifs dans grub.conf au niveau de l'initrd :
il y avait :
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.27......img
que j'avais modifié en
initrd /initrd-2.6.27......img
pour que cela fonctionne...

En fait j'ai repris le noyau 2.6.27.9-159.fc10.x86_64 non modifié. A ma grande surprise j'ai maintenant ma carte fonctionne avec les drivers proprio. Je ne comprends rien mais ca fonctionne avec deux écrans (sauf les effets de bureaux).

Je laisse comme ca. mais j'aurai aimé savoir ce qui n'allait pas. Ca sera pour plus tard quand mes connaissances seront plus complètes.
